The dish motor, when installed properly, is designed to follow the satellite arch from where all the satellites are located. The motor installs based on your latitude. To get installation help with installing a dish motor go HERE.
This motorized antenna package works with any DiSEqC 1.2 receiver and the HH motor mount is controlled via the satellite receiver with DiSEqC protocol.
What is DiSEqC1.2?DiSEqC stands for Digital Satellite Equipment Control. This not only includes controlling via a dish motor, but also includes controlling via a switch. DiSEqC1.2 is a command that is given to the motor via the satellite receiver that tells the motor to turn right or left.
We recommend you consider purchasing a SF95 signal finder. The use of a signal finder when installing a motorized dish is made much simpler. The signal finder is designed to buzz when you receive a signal from a Ku or C band satellite. As you turn your satellite motor east or west, and as you lock into different satellite signals, the SF-95 signal meters beeps or buzzes to tell you that you have a signal locked in. As you turn your dish east & west, if your signal finder constantly goes off, then you know you are very close to aligning your satellite dish to the satellite arch.
