This
motorized dish package includes the Winegard DS2076 75cm / 30"
satellite dish antenna, our top of the line WS International Ku band
linear LNBF, and the WS International Powermax SG9120B. The
SG9120B uses steel gear which makes it a true heavy duty motor.
Don't fall victim to no name DiSEqC motors that use plastic or nylon
gears. This package will get signal from some Ku band
satellites in North America. If you want to expand your
horizon, choose
Package #8. Package #8 includes the WS International 90cm
36" satellite dish which will give you access to stronger signal
from the regular satellites, but due to its size, it also allows you
to receive signal from a few more satellites that are a bit lower
powered.
This FTA
motirized kit is similar to kit #3 above, but it's a little more
economical. Instead of the Winegard DS2076, it includes the WS
International WS7630 30" dish. If you are on a budget and
don't want to spend much money on your FTA experience, then this is
the perfect package for you. Mounting the satellite dish on
the motor may be a little bit more time consuming, but your signal
quality will not be effected much.
This
package is just like the FTA Motorized Dish Kit #4 above, but
includes a 1.2m / 120cm offset dish antenna rather than a 76cm /
.76m offset dish. If you only want to be able to receive
standard Ku band signal from almost any FTA satellite and have a
DiSEqC1.2 compatible or USALS compatible FTA receiver and live in a
fringe area or want to point to a low powered satellite, then you
need the
Motorized FTA Dish Kit #5. This package allows reception
of only FSS linear Ku band satellite signal broadcasting from almost
any FTA Ku band satellite.

This
package is just like the FTA Motorized Dish kit #5 above, but
includes a
SG9120 dish motor with a 60mm shaft rather than the
SG9120B with 42mm shaft. Keep in mind that the SG9120
motors come with metal gear making them a true heavy duty motor.
Don't fall for no name motors with plastic or nylon gears. If
you want to experience with C band on a small level, add a WS
International WSKU2C
kit and a WS International C band LNBF.
This
package is just like the FTA Motorized Dish kit #3 above, but
includes a 90cm / .9 meter offset dish antenna rather than a 75cm /
.75m offset dish. If you are trying to get signal from a Ku
band and want a nice strong signal, then this package is for you.
The WS International WS9036 satellite dish is the largest 36" dish
on the market. It measures 36" by 39" making it the largest
size dish you can have if you live in a sub division with HOA
regulations.
This
package is just like package 7 above. This one includes a Do
It Yourself installation kit. The satellite installation kit
includes a 75', a 25', and a 6' roll of RG6 with water proof
connectors on each end. It also includes cable clips, cable
ties, a compass, and lag screws. Basically everything you need
for installation.
FAQ about Motorized Satellite Systems:
Do I need
to install a separate power line to connect to the
HH motor mount?
-
No. The
motor gets powered by the receiver. The receiver provides power to
turn the LNB on and to switch polarity. The motor consumes the
same power through the
coaxial cable that runs from the receiver to the
LNBF. Simply run the coaxial cable to your satellite dish motor,
then from the HH dish motor run a 3 or 4 foot coaxial cable to the LNBF.
How do I
control the motor to move it East / West?
-
The motor is
controlled by the receiver's remote control. All receivers compliant
with the DiSEqC 1.2, 1.3, or USALS protocol have the capability to run
an HH
satellite motor. Once you install and setup the motor to follow the
satellite arch properly and store the different satellite positions and
locations into the receiver, the receiver will automatically go to the
location where the channel is being broadcasted from when you change TV
channels on the receiver.
Are all
HH motors & receivers USALS,
DiSEqC 1.2, & DiSEqC 1.3 compatible?
-
No.
All satellite motors and HH mounts are DiSEqC1.2 & DiSEqC1.3 compatible,
but not all
dish motors are USALS compatible. Motors that are NOT
USALS compatible are sometimes more reliable.
-
-
Not all
satellite C/Ku band receivers are DiSEqC 1.2 and DiSEqC 1.3 compatible.
Some are
DiSEqC1.0. Make sure the receiver
you purchase is at least DiSEqC 1.2 compatible.
Can I
pick up
C band and Ku band?
-
No. You need a C band dish (2.4 meters / 6 foot) or
larger to be able to pick up C band. This system is
only for Ku band reception.
Does the
motor also adjust for variation in elevation on the dish for each and
every satellite
Yes.
When you install the motor based on your latitude, the motor will adjust
the elevation as well.
Should I
skew (rotate) my
LNBF to align for polarity?
No. Just
leave the LNB at 0 degrees skew and the motor will tilt the satellite
dish to make up for the adjustment of skew.
What is
the benefit from motorizing my dish?
- Adding a
motor to your system allows you to receive satellite channels from
multiple satellites & not just one.
