So you want
to buy a digital satellite receiver, and don't know which satellite
receiver to choose?
The answer is
simple! It depends on you! Do you want all the bells and
whistles or do you just want a basic and simple receiver? If you
prefer something cheap and simple, you may want to consider the
Traxis DBS1500.
You don't get cheaper or simpler than that. This receiver has all
your basic functions and all the necessary connections. If you
want to step it up a bit, then go with a blind search or blind scan
satellite receiver.
What is blind search? Blind search is
when the receiver will search and find new transponder frequency, symbol
rate, and polarity, then searches the transponder to find the channels
that are broadcasting from the transponder. A basic receiver will
only search the transponder, whose frequency, symbol rate and polarity
you have programmed in for the TV & Radio stations.

Basic Information
Any of the above satellite receivers will work with C or
Ku band signal. Signal reception from the most popular C Ku
satellite like Telstar 5, Galaxy 25, AMC 4, Galaxy 10R, or any other
satellites that broadcast Free To Air (FTA) programming. All
satellite receivers have automatic scan and transponder scan except for
our rackmount receiver. Our rackmount receiver uses the carrier
code obtained from uplink company to provide the receiver with the
necessary information for the TV station to come in from a particular
transponder.
Dish motor control:
Most of the satellite receivers above have dish motor
control built in. They use either DiSEqC1.2 protocol to control
the dish motor or USALS. Exception is the Traxis DBS-2800
Rackmount receiver, the Finepass FP5800. |
